Electronics

Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W(H)

Raspberry Pi Zero 2 WH

  • W version comes without pre-solder header
  • WH version with -> makes it easier as no soldering is requires

microSD Card

  • RPi website recommands at least 16GB, recommends 32GB
  • probably both to much
  • Pi OS Lite has a download image size of ~500MB
  • total disk space used (with dev tools) on my version is about ~3GB, so probably any size starting from 4GB should do

XL4015 DC-DC Buck Converter Module

XL4015

  • stepdown 12V to 5V for powering Pi

USB-C Pigtail

USB-C Pigtail

  • only power leads requires, no data lines
  • cut one of the cheap cables that often come with all sorts of cheap electronics enough
  • for powering the Pi from the buck converter
  • powering the Pi directly to pins also possible, but bypassed fuse

D4148 MOSFET Module

XY-MOS

  • switching valve and pump on/off
  • often sold ander name "XY MOS"

1N4007 Diode

1N4007

  • used as flyback diode for protecting the MOSFETs
  • not 100% sure if right one as no datasheet for pump motor available, seems to work though

BMP280 Atmosphere Pressure Sensor Module

BMP280

  • get a 3.3V version for RPi
  • check datasheep if configured for I²C and address (should be 0x76, other config change needed)
  • absolute pressure sensor, vacuum value needs to be calculatet using current athmospheric pressue
  • could be automated using a 2nd sensor outside of vacuum
  • used because cheap and available as module
  • diffrential sensors more expensive and not available as module

12V DC Vacuum Pump (VN-T1)

Pump

not 100% airthight, therefore one-way-valve in tubing path to not loose vacuum

12V DC Normally Closed Solenoid Valve

Valve

12V DC Power Supply

12 DC Power Supply

  • with 5.5 x 2.1 mm barrel plug
  • get one which fits your country power outlets
  • RPi recommends 5V/2.5A for Pi 2 Zero -> 5W
  • Solenoid valve state 5W
  • pump 10W
  • with no limit or warranty I guess 24W+ should do (for a 1 pump setup)
  • I'm using a 12V/4A (48W) power brick I had lying around

Panel-Mount Socket for Barrel Plugs

Panel-Mount Socker

  • 12.6 mm outer diameter to fit hole in housing
  • for 5.5 x 2.1 mm barrel plugs, matching the one on the 12V power brick

Screws / Fasteners

Screws / Fasteners

Other

PC Water Cooling Reservoir

PC Water Cooling Reservoir

  • 16.5cm length, 5cm diameter
  • used to house the pressure sensore as well as water trap

T-Connector
